If a bread recipe calles for 1/2 TSP instand yeast, how much Active Dry Yeast should I use?

If a recipe calls for 1/2 TSP instant yeast ( or .055 ounces) , how much Active Dry Yeast should I use? Half a TSP? More? Less?If a bread recipe calles for 1/2 TSP instand yeast, how much Active Dry Yeast should I use?
Since instant yeast is more potent than active dry yeast, less is needed. If all I have on hand is active dry yeast, I usually double the amount called for in a recipe using instant yeast. If a bread recipe calles for 1/2 TSP instand yeast, how much Active Dry Yeast should I use?
It shouldn't make much of a difference. You can still use what the recipe calls for 1/2 tsp. But what I do is put the active dry yeast in warm water first and then let it sit for about 2 mins and then add the flour. It worrks for me every time
Instant yeast is 1/3 the amount of active dry yeast. So you need to use 1 and 1/2 teaspoons of ADY. Prep for ADY is a little different. For the best results, add your ADY to warm water, about 110 degrees F. mix it until no more lumps remain. Let it set for about 5 minutes and the yeast will begin to activate. Then mix your bread as you would regularly.
