Can you use 2% milk in a bread recipe that calls for whole milk?

I'm assuming not since whole milk has a higher fat content, but if not, the alternatives I have on hand are half and half and heavy whipping cream. Can you use 2% milk in a bread recipe that calls for whole milk?
yeah, itll just be like the homemade reduced fat version of the recipie. Can you use 2% milk in a bread recipe that calls for whole milk?
It is possible. However, it is likely to come out a little different. But, if you have enough of the half and half, I would use that instead. Half and half as about half the butter content then the whole milk, but that is still 48% more than the 2%.

The heavy whipping cream would not be a good idea though. Go with either the 2% or the half and half.
This would depend on the recipe itself.

For example if you were making Brioche bread I would not substitue 2% for whole.
Yes, you can. The fat content will be less. In the end, better for you :)
Go ahead, you can even use water if you want.
yes, you can use nonfat milk as well and you'll find no real difference in the flavor
yes yes you can and its not as faty
Why not mix the 2% with the half %26amp; half?
Yes but it might effect the taste differently
mix the 2% with the heavy cream
