I've seen many recipes for Irish soda bread but none taste like the bread in Ireland. Any suggestions?

it might be the flavour of the milk?I've seen many recipes for Irish soda bread but none taste like the bread in Ireland. Any suggestions?
Soda Bread

1lb [all-purpose flour]

1tsp bicarbonate of soda

7.5ml cream of tartar

pinch of salt

1oz butter

1 eggwhisked with 300ml buttermilk

Preheat the oven to 220C/425gas7 and grease a baking sheet.Sift the dry ingredients into a big bowl. Cut in the butter and rub into the flour until the mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs.

Make a well in the centre and pour in the egg and buttermilk mixture.Mix thoroughly to make a soft dough.

Turn out onto a floured board and knead lightly for a minute or two. Shape into a round and flatten slightly.Place the loaf on the baking sheet and mark with a deep cross to help it to cook evenly.Bake in the pre-heated oven for about 30 minutes until well risen and lighlty browned. When cooked it will sound hollow when tapped on the base.I've seen many recipes for Irish soda bread but none taste like the bread in Ireland. Any suggestions?
I don't use milk in my recipe. I use buttermilk. Perhaps that is the problem?
